Haven't updated the journal for a year. Not that a journal is of any significance when you're here for the art.

My point?
There are still some artists out there that claim they wanna be in the industry and draw comics/art for a living....so why isn't it happening yet or are they stuck in the same silly cycle?

Cuz they've lost sight of the higher purpose and feel comfort in fan-pleasing.
Some sign up for a project purely for the feeling of being part of something or cuz it's still fresh.

When most young artists get involved in something, their brain releases endorphines that cause a temporary high or a euphoric state. This wears out when the project either progresses or when the artists involved don't see instant gratification. I call this "the Fresh-Syndrom"

Then there's "the Ego Masterbation", that's when they make a series of meaningless drawings to please/impress lesser skilled people familiar with their work...while the artists themselves don't quite feel satisfied or inspired by it. And then wonder why they have "artist block". If there even is such a stupid thing.

(you people know who you are, in the past i have seen it time and time again. May it be through Void battles or plain simple things. I have been guilty of this shit myself)

Don't draw like your a zombie, but do it cuz you enjoy it, wanna accomplish something or you just plain wanna get paid.

Hate yer job? Can't juggle time and multi-tasking become multi-terror?
Start your own damn business.
Take some fukkin' risks. No one ever died of taking a risk in non-lethal situations.
